Is there a way to reduce the borders around the thumbnail view?
They take a lot of space.
-
Also is it possible to add a new label to be displayed below the thumbnail, like just the modified date.

Thanks in advance!

Does this do the trick, mrwul?
Tools → Settings… → Thumbnail → Appearance → Thumbnail cell → Spacing

Many thanks.
Regretfully that is already set to the lowest value: 0
So, in my example above, the thumbnail on the left, that is already set to zero.
Example: if you have shot something 'developing' (1-2 shots each day) you may want to use the thumbnails to show a kind of 'collection', say maybe 6 thumbnails on a row, instead just 3
Bad luck.
Thanks anyway.

Settings are as follows:

making thumbnails almost borderless saves a lot of space

you ask for a square thumbnail 96x96, and your files are portrait so there is some space around

At the top of browser, there's a slider to adjust size or number
of displayed thumbnails.
To toggle [size of thumbs] or [number of thumbs] , use the small button near the slider ; then adjust number or size with the slider.
But if you have portrait and landscape photos, some space will be lost , because the browser can't adjust width and height for each photo.
