Trying to open a webp file from XnView's results in error "error opening the file!".
It is working fine with the previous version 1.7.2 on Linux, and it is also working with version 1.8.0 on Windows.

Please see the attached file. Had to rename it to [filename].webp.jpg in order to upload it. Please rename to [filename].webp

Please download again the package, it was fixed
