JPEG XL does not save any metadata during conversion

When I convert from any format to JPEG XL, no metadata or GPS is inserted. Can this error be fixed? Other software can do this, but I prefer to use XnViewMP

Don't listen to him people, Jpeg XL is the future, old JPG is the near past.

Exactly, jpeg-xl is the future, even Apple now supports it in all devices and systems, mirrorless cameras can save photos in JPEG XL in addition to RAW and JPG. So, a pointless answer User0

you don't have exif or XMP in jpegxl?

Not when converting from any format that contains EXIF, XMP, IPTC, whatever, none of this information is ever saved to JPEG XL. Other software can do that. Example, JPG with EXIF and other metadata, export to JPG XL and nothing is there, and in the convert window I have permission to save and preserve metadata

This problem is supposed to be fixed in
XnView MP 1.8.4. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Now metadata are coping, but now is a new bug: when this switch is OFF metadata are coping too.

I don't know how it works for anyone, but there is no change for me. Neither version 8.4 nor 8.5. No metadata from JPG with metadata to JPG XL.
Mac OS Sequoia 15.3

This problem is supposed to be fixed in
XnView MP 1.8.6. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
