Multiple Viewer Tabs

I've recently switched from Classic to MP, and finding some of the features I'm used to is ... difficult.

But recently, I'm unable to find a feature that I thought existed.

In MP 1.7.1 on one machine, only one viewer tab is opened, no matter how many different images I open. That's the way I want it.

But on another machine, with MP 1.8.0, it opens a new tab for each image I open, so I end up with multiple tabs. I don't want that.

I went through all the settings on each, and can't find the one that controls this behavior. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Allow only one application instance (Settings > General)

That isn't the same. I sometimes have multiple MPs open when working in different folders at the same time. Also, never had to do that before, and that option isn't set on the machine with 1.7.1, yet it works as I want it to.

Tools > Settings... > Interface > Tabs -- Maximum of view tabs change default value of 99 to one?

Maybe that option, found it eventually, would be better in the Settings... > View section :?:

That's it! Thanks! I must have passed over that 10 times!
