A user recently had difficulty locating the 'Maximum of view tabs' option, as did I while trying to find it, as reported in this thread.

Possibly the whole Settings... > Interface - Tabs section would be better located in the Settings... > View section?

nah, Tab section is fine. All tab related functionality should be here, see other section (Titlebar, Toolbr, Statusbar, etc)
Browser/View(er) sections should be dedicated to unique functionality that is not available in other parts of the application.
