Exiftool doesn't display certain parameters anymore

The new version doesn't display certain parameters from my ARW files anymore.
Until recently, I could read following information:
Lens : FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS
Date Created : 2024:10:18
Aperture : 6.3
Lens ID : Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS
Shutter Speed : 1/160
Focus Distance 2 : 2.015 m
Field Of View : 60.3 deg
Focal Length : 31.0 mm (35 mm equivalent: 31.0 mm)
Hyperfocal Distance : 5.08 m
Light Value : 11.6
Now the »Focus Distance 2« is missing. OK, I can use exiftool to view these parameters, but in older versions this had been a very comfortable way to check lens data…

Screenshot.
The ExifTool window shows only the »Composite« and »PrintIM Version«, nothing else.

with the TIF sent, i have EXIF fields in ExifTool panel

But as you can see in the screenshot, it is only part of the EXIF file in the panel on the left.
Re-install XnView? I don't want to damage my image database.

Processor 3,4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
Memory 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
exiftool 12.99 runs perfectly on this Mac, just in case you might think it won't work:

XnView runs with exiftool version unknown (it does not display a version at all)

I don't have anymore Catalina, but only Monterey, and no probleme here
1.8.1 works?

The last working version was from summer this year. I'll try 1.8.1 today.

Just downloaded and installed 1.8.1. Nope, same result as with 1.8.2.
However, maybe this helps:
When I start XnView 1.8.1 and select a TIFF, the Exif data are displayed, even the Exiftool version 10.98.
But as soon as I select a different TIFF, there are only 2 entries displayed in the panel: > Composite and > PrintIM.
When I select a third TIFF, there are different entries displayed: > Composite and > ICC_Profile
