It shouldn't... Pierre at the time said he's using Windows APIs to render WMFs, so if Windows is patched, so is XnView. The message from SecurityFocus deals with unpatched systems, in fact it lists all OS version that by now have been patched.

This wmf exploit has been discussed thoroughly on the forums already. The last i noticed of it was that it wouldn't crash your whole system, but that it would cause xnview to close.

I agree. The list was funny with Gentoo Linux being listed as vulnerable to a MS OS problem.
