XnView Software

if I working as administrator user with WinXP Pro with XnView - everything works.
but if I work as nomal user I can't edit metadata and so on.

Has XnView problems with non-admin-users or have I to configure someting in WinXP? (I think, that it should not be necessary to be an administrator user in order to modify pictures)

No, do you have the rights on picture?

Which rights do you mean?
The pictures not write protected!

File rights, owner of the file for example...
