Catalog Filter often shows blank until resized

I see this bug quite a lot, usually when I first open XnView for the first time after starting my PC. I've set the Catalog Filter to display where it should be in the attached screenshot (ticked in View>Panels>Catalog Filter). But often that area where the catalog filter pane should be (larger red circled area) is a completely blank empty space. But if I then click and drag the dotted separator bar (small red circled area) all the way down and then back up again, the catalog filter then displays correctly. It's as if dragging the separator handle down then up again forces the pane to refresh and then appear correctly.
It's usually OK then until I close down and restart my PC. It then often (but not always) happens again when I launch XnView again.
If it makes any difference, I have a multiple monitor setup (3 monitors) and this browser is on the 3rd right hand monitor and my 2nd (middle) monitor is where the full screen preview appears.
