1.8.8: JXL colors are incorrectly rendered
Posted: Mon Apr 21, 2025 2:28 pm
XnView: MP 1.8.8 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 11
Opening the attached image, the JXL image colors are incorrectly rendered.
This only happens with XnView in windows and does not happen with Krita or IrfanView.
Interestingly, it also doesn't happen with XnView Linux (1.8.8) installed from Flatpak.
Effect: The image has wrong colours. In this case the image looks a look darker.
To reproduce:
1. Open the attached image in Xnview windows
Actual behaviour (bug): colours are wrong
Expected behaviour: Correctly rendered image.
In the link:
- The original jpg image: IMG_20210811_144353.jpg
- The image in jxl format, converted using XnConvert: IMG_20210811_144353.jxl
- A screenshot side by side: Irfanview, XnView and the Original JPG
Since maximum attachment is 2MiB and it doesn't support jxl, here are the samples: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
