Why does the conversion to JPG not respect the original sizes?

Post by SoCu »

Hello, I have encountered another problem, when I want to convert a PSD file to JPG.

From XnShell 4.1.14: Convert a PSD file to JPG “with the option ‘Convert to... > JPG’.
The PSD file dimensions are 2000x3000
The converted JPG file has the dimensions 107x160

Image

I have also tried to see what happens with a JPG image converted to the same JPG format, and the result of the conversion is bad, it is also reduced in size.

From XnView MP: Converting a PSD file to JPG
The converted JPG file has the correct dimensions 2000x3000

Image

Now I try to convert from XnShell this 2000x3000 JPG file to the same format with the option “Convert to... > JPG”, and the dimensions are not good.
The converted JPG file has the dimensions 250x375

Image

If the conversion is done from XnShell > Convert to.... > JPG, it does not convert to the same size.

Image

If the conversion is done from XnShell > Convert, whether it respects the original sizes

Image

Could you please correct this problem so that it respects the original sizes when the conversion is done from XnShell > Convert to.... > JPG

P.S. sorry for this testament, I don't speak English, I try that with the screenshots you can better understand the problem.

Thank you.

right, :bugconfirmed: the workaround is to disable 'options>RAW use embedded JPEG'

ok, I see that the two formats RAW and PSD are not very compatible, you have to enable or disable them depending on the type of file to convert.

P.S. the forum is very, very slow today.

Thank you.
