Hello, I am new to the forum. I would like to say hello and to thank you for this great piece of software.
Could you please check the following behaviour:
When you hover over the star rating in the preview but you do not select a star rating, the metadata will be updated anyway as soon as you select a new picture. The behaviour of the color labels in the preview seems to be fine.
I found this behaviour a bit disturbing because the metadata does not need to be updated in that case.
I could not reproduce this behaviour with the other ways to set a star rating or color labels.

i can't reproduce, when you move the mouse, rating is always selected?

To reproduce, please follow those steps:
1. Select a picture
2. Move the mouse over one rating (e.g. rating "1") in the preview but do not click the mouse and do not select a rating.
3. Select another picture
After that, the picture will be written to disk. This does not happen with the color labels.
