Edit EXIF?

I have a small number of photos (TIFF, JPEG) that have lost the EXIF info because it was stripped out by a program I used. I want to add back some of the info such as the camera, lens, and date so that it will show up in Lightroom Classic, etc.. Is there a way to do it in XnView MP?

XnViewMP does not provide the ability to change exif data, except timestamp, gps data, orientation (and some "XP" fields used years ago)
With XnViewMP, sometimes i duplicate photo1 that has good exif data
Then I paste the graphic content of photo2 that had lost it's exif data
And I save as : photo2
So that photo2 gets the exif data of photo1
And I add seconds to the timestamp
Otherwise Exiftool can be used, but this requires some knowledge... (search for CCExiftool, my own software

)

I hope at least these EXIF fields so that the info will be shown in Lightroom Classic:
I am using a Mac.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in
XnView MP 1.9.2. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

I installed 1.9.2 on my Mac. When I select a photo and then look at the Metadata menu I see Edit comment, Edit IPTC, Edit XMP, Edit GPS data, Edit, and Change timestamp. But I cannot find where I can set/change:
camera
lens
focal length
f-stop
shutter speed
ISO
Maybe I am looking in the wrong place or misunderstanding?

Playing around some more I found that hidden inside Edit there are some more options. I will give it a try and report back.

I have discovered that unfortunately this feature does not work for Sony HIF photos and also does not work for Apple HEIC photos. It does work for JPEG and TIFF photos.
Oh, one more, thing. The Metadata | Edit option is not available when you are looking at a full size single photo.

ExifTool has problem with makernotes for IMG_0054.HEIC

Hmmm, I just now did a test with a Sony HIF file. I used Metadata | Edit to change these fields:
Make
Model
Focal Length
Lens Model
Date Taken
Date Digitized
Date Modified
After I did it I opened the HIF photo up full size in XnView MP and the information was still the old information. When I do the same thing on a JPEG photo the information is changed.
The main thing I wanted was for JPEG and TIFF files and that seems to work. These Sony HIF and Apple HEIC files are not important. I just happened to notice they didn't work when I was checking the JPEG photos.
Thank you very much for adding the functionality for JPEG and TIFF.

Okay, hmmm.
While in the browser view you changed the EXIF and then opened the photo into the full size view and the EXIF info displayed in the upper left corner shows all the changes you made?
