I wish to say thank you to the developers that XnViewMP (now 1.9.2) is still running on Windows 7. That is awsome.

Why? Is that technically totally and absolutly nessecary? Is it an unreasonable effort to maintain this backward compatibility? What would not be able to develop in XnView when it has that backward compatibility?
