Issues with AVI files....I found XnView yesterday and was very impressed. We have been looking for a viewer to recommend with a medical product we are selling.

I downloaded it and installed on my desktop PC (P4/1GB RAM/XP Pro). After spending an hour seeing everything I shot an email off to an associate asking him to take a look. He responded this AM. XnView would not behave (locked system, ability to move back in a video did not work, etc). He like the interface and features.

I just installed XnView on my notebook (just like his) and had same issues. The notebook is P4/512 MB RAM/XP Home Edition).

The AVI files we need to view are done using the Indeo 5.1 CODEC.

Can you offer any help.....Thanks

Are you suggesting your are working on a new viewer? Is there an issue with Indeo CODEC or are we not doing something right?

I have rewritten the video player, better support of current codec.
