1.9.2 Linux - Open image in full screen - intermittent blocky image

XnView: MP 1.9.2 - 64bit
Build date: 2025/07/10
OS: Arch Linux / 64bit
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.1
Qt Version: 6.9.1
Graphics Platform: X11
I use XNView MP as my default image viewer, and it is configured to show everything in fullscreen with "Auto Zoom : Fit Image to Window"
Often this works fine, and any PNG or JPG I open is shown full screen, zoomed to fit window, and with the correct resolution and aspect ratio
Effect:
Maybe 20% of the time, the image opens in full screen, is zoomed to fit window, but is incredibly blocky (low resolution).
When this happens, I can fix it by toggling fullscreen off and on again
At this point it ALWAYS shows in correct size and resolution , and of course still at full screen.
Closing XNView, and reopening the exact same image, will USUALLY open it fuillscreen without any resolution problems.
There seems to be no pattern as to what causes this issue, but it doesnt appear to be related to the actual image file itself.
This issue has not recently appeared. Its been the same since I first started using XnView MP several years ago (at that time it would have been KDE 5.x, but still Arch)
To reproduce:
1. Configure XNView to open in full screen by default
2. Configure full screen images to stretch to fit window
3. Open random PNG or JPG images (in my case usually from Desktop)
4. At some point it will show the image in very low res, but zoomed to full screen
---
5. Close image, reopen it
6. Will usually show it zoomed to full screen, but this time in full res
7. Alternatively, use keyboard to zoom out a step and back in a step, and it will show it correctly
Actual behaviour (bug):
Does not always show full screen images at correct resolution
Expected behaviour:
Should always show full screen images at correct resolution
