I don't know how much it's in your control but -
* I've always found the droplist beside the Filename when saving would more usefully have recent folders saved to by XNView rather than recent files. If a file within it is wanted just typing following a few opening letters of the filename would produce a suitable list. Or alternatively the recent xnview-saved folders saved to could be enforced in the Folder droplist above, currently that's blank for me probably to avoid random clutter in Explorer and generally. Or some other way to select these folders.
* However under all circumstances if the droplist had as its first entry the current folder (else full name) of the open file that would be helpful when you've been saving to a different location and want to get back to the active file's location.
Cheers, David
