resample dialog (advanced options, batch convert)

hi all,

there a lot of resample filters, which the user can choose from. unfortunately the names are not plausible, nor recognizable by the user. maybe in the help the user can read which filters are the best, and why and for what case, but not in the pulldown menu, which is, IMHO, very important.
so it might be useful, to either:
name the filters like: bilinear (best), hermite (middle), lanczos (normal), etc...
or: bilinear (quality 10), hermite (quality 5), lanczos (quality 1), etc...
or have a small text next to the pulldown menu, where the hirachy is (very shortly) explained/showed.

what do you think?

btw: the only informativ posting i found was: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... t=resample

It's not so simple, a filter can be better than one other on a picture, and not for another picture...

if so, name the reasons *why* a filter is better on some pictures and not on some others.
if we know it, we can shorten it up to a description a user understands and can use.
if we have only "names", the user don't know or cannot identify, it is a tryout situation, which cost a lot of time. (which we all know is a "learning effect") :-)
