XnView MP
Good day.
Please tell me how to make XnView MP behave like the old XnView:
so that backspace in viewing and full screen mode is permanently and unmappably used as the left arrow key,
so that in viewing and full screen mode pressing the space bar on the last file in the list takes us to the first file in the list.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely, Gary.

"Unmappably" is not a word. But you can map the backspace key to "Previous file" in the shortcuts dialog.
Go to Tools->Settings:Interface:Shortcuts
Select Viewer at the top of the list and scroll to find the Action named "Previous file". Set that to Backspace using the custom option.
(To have BKSP also move to previous file in the browser, Select Browser at the top of the list and do the same.)
Then click the OK button to save settings and dismiss the dialog box.
That will provide the effect it sounds like you're after. It's as permanent as you let it be. It will stay until you change it.
so that in viewing and full screen mode pressing the space bar on the last file in the list takes us to the first file in the list.
Go to Tools->Settings:View:Misc and put a checkmark on "Loop on the file list"
Hopefully this helps...

Hello, jkm!
""Unmappably" is not a word." - I don't know English at all, so I'm directing your complaints to Google Translate:)))
Regarding the remaining two points, I sincerely thank you and bow to you, seriously.
It turns out I couldn't handle them myself due to inattention and haste.
