XnView: MP 1.9.4 x64
OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 x64

In Windows 10 file explorer, icons for webp files look like default xnviewmp.exe icon.

Effect: I notice FileIcons folder in Xnview installation folder has a dedicated webp icon, yet it's not used for webp files for some reason. All other icons are properly used for their corresponding formats in Windows file explorer.
I tried to uninstall and install XnviewMP, tried to assign some other app as a default photo viewer and then selected XnviewMP back. Every time the icons for image files would get changed to whatever default Photo Viewer is selected, and when XnviewMP is set back as a default Photo Viewer, icons for all format except wenp would be properly set to the ones from FileIcons folder. I also tried to change the default application for webp format only, but still no success.

To reproduce:
1. Install XnView
2. Go to "Default Apps" settings page in Windows.
3. Select XnView MP as a default "Photo Viewer" application.

Actual behaviour (bug): .webp files look like they don't have an icon and just use XnViewMp default icon (an orange eye).

Expected behaviour: .webp files look like the webp.ico icon stored inside C:\Program Files\XnViewMP\FileIcons

Okay so I uninstalled XnViewMP, restarted, went to regedit and deleted every single mention of XnView, restarted, set Paint as a default Photo Viewer, restarted, deleted IconCache.db (it never did anything, just in case), restarted, installed newest XnViewMP (1.9.5), restarted, set XnviewMP as a default Photo Viewer, restarted for the last time not hoping for anything in particular, opened XnViewMP, then checked how .webp files look in Windows file explorer, and they finally look as they should.

Most likely it was another Microsoft shenanigans. Maybe it really was some ancient registry key Windows created for some ancient XnViewMP version I used, maybe even before it got webp support.
Anyway thanks a lot for this awesome software. Case closed.
