1.9.6: crash

hi~dear developers:
I'm a loyal XnView user, and I've been experiencing crashes since updating to version 1.9.6.
1. I unzipped the 1.9.6 x64 version.
2. I compared it with a folder from my local version 1.9.5 (which I've been using for a while), and copied seven files from the original 1.9.5 to the corresponding paths in the 1.9.6 installation: default.bar, default.keys, iptc.ini, Thumb.db, Xmp.ini, XnView.db, and xnview.ini.
3. Clicking the image to launch XnViewMP resulted in a crash.
4. Running xnviewmp.exe directly in the directory did not cause a crash. This was the first time I've encountered a crash using the same method.
Thank you for your help in resolving this!
PS: My device is Windows 10 x64.
