How to put xmp files last after all images

Until a few minutes ago, when I was going through a file folder in the main file panel, the images (raw and jpg) would be in file order first, then the xmp files would appear after all the image files - raw, jpg, raw, jpg etc then all the xmp files at the end.

I must have accidentally clicked something, because out of the blue the xmp files sit in order after the jpg file (raw, jpg, xmp - raw, jpg, xmp etc). This makes it difficult to select a sequence of image files to add keywords.

I've tried lots of things to get them back the way I want them, but mostly I'm just messing things up more.

If anyone can give me a step by step guide to getting things back the way I like, I can offer nothing more than thanks and gratitude, but you'd most certainly have that.

Update: I've now figured out how to get the xmp files out of the way of the image files. They now appear all together first. I'd still be interested to discover how I managed to have them last after all the image files if anybody can tell me.

Have you explored the various browser View > Sort by options, multiple sequence options for a given option?

I have, but I'm yet to find the same sort order I had before. Not to worry. I've now got the xmp files showing all together so it's not so much of a problem any more. Thank you for helping out.
