Feature? browser thumbnail labels seem to overlap

Hi and good evening,
don't know if it is intended: with 1.82 RC1-3 (against 1.80.3) for me (on Win98) it appears that the 'gap' between thumbnail labels is lost.
Previously label1/backgroundcolor1 was optically distincted from label2/backgroundcolor2.
Now all label background colors overlap, and, more ugly, the label caption texts which are expected to be ellipsed - in case to be longer - may be truncated in the first characters (first characters of file names appear to be overwritten by previous caption).
By intention or caption space calculation problem or controlled by an option or graphic card problem (ati xpert 128) ?
Many thanks and best regards,
klaus2

Hi Pierre,
as told, occurs with 1.82 RC1 as well as with 1.82 RC3 (never with 1.80.3).
but - i need to add -
it does not occur tested on W2K system with screen resulution 1280 x 1024,
whereas it does occur tested on win98, screen resolution 1024 x 768.
To my feeling it is related to the new functionality as of
browser->thumbnail->appearance border size / border color
may be by a new caption size / offset calculations ? and impacted by
certain screen resolutions ?
Best regards,
klaus2

Ok, no it's a problem with 95/98 spacing... (a bug in the win api)

Hi Pierre,
obviously (lvs_seticonspacing?), but obviously not noticeable before 1.82 (due to new functionality [borders]?) ..
Hopefully there's a workaround correction and you don't say '9x not longer supported' ..
Best Regards!
