Changelog: http://snapshot.opera.com/windows/w90p2.html

Some new features include

Opera Widgets – Widgets are small AJAX applications that provide specific functionality – like getting your favorite news, converting currency and so on. We've posted documentation on Opera Widgets – not only how to use them but also how to make them. Go to My Opera Community to download Widgets.

BitTorrent – BitTorrent has become one of the most popular file transfer protocols around. We built it right into the browser so you can download torrent files easily. No more hassle finding the right port, no worries about setting upload and download speed. We've worked to optimize all of that for you.

Customize your search engines – Use your favorite search engine in the search box. Go to the site you want and right click on the search field site and click on the search field. You will then be prompted to “create search”

Improved content blocker – Cosmetic surgery for Web pages. Just right click on a page and select “block content”. Any content not greyed out can be blocked with a click. Select “done” and see the page the way you want.

Improved pop-up blocker – Just try it with some nasty popups. We added more intelligence to help weed out even more pop-ups. But since not all pop-ups are created equal, use the trash can to retrieve pop-ups you may want.

Site specific preferences – For those of you who want to control settings for specific pages. Want to accept some cookies and deny others? How about setting your own style sheet to make the site more accessible? Just right click on the page and select “Site preferences”.

Thumbmail preview – Opera conserves system resources and uses less memory than other browsers so it's easy to have many tabs open at once. But just what tab had that video you wanted? Using the thumbnail feature, you can find out by resting the mouse on any tab.

New Opera Weekly Build: 8225
Changes since 13 February 2006:
Fixed so upload in BitTorrent doesn't send corrupt data. Some changes to improve the speed.
Changed feed notification icon.
Fixed crash when searching in opera:config
The [Adv User prefs] section of opera6.ini and opera:config has been renamed to [Network].
Fix to allow nested forms.
Added widget error reporting to the error console.
Possible fix for buttons not working on GMail.

Unix specific changes:
Improved session management handling
Modified pluginwrapper so that plug-ins see a Composite widget. Some versions of the real plug-ins seem to need this.
Shortcut fixes for widget handling in the unix-keyboard.ini setting
Fixed problems with missing resizing of content of detached windows.
Cleanup and fixed problems with parsing of remote commands. We were unable to open filenames with spaces.
Improved window handling for widgets.

Known issues:
Saving preferences in opera:config, while any file path preference contains a string with spaces, can cause the paths to become corrupted, or multiple warning dialogs to be displayed. You are advised not to use opera:config in this release, or the previous weekly release.
Might crash in some cases when switching between tabs with the mouse.

Opera 9.21 Final has been Released!

I've only just started to use this browser as I've heard Firefox 3.0 will be bloated :(

I've been very disappointed with v9.20... lots of lockups and site incompatibilities.

It's too bad, because Opera is the ONLY browser with a properly behaving page zoom function, which I use ALL OF THE TIME.

Skipped

:) Hello John !

• I skipped 9.20, I had 9.10 and upgraded directly to 9.21…

- I use Opera only as a subsidiary browser (only to view one of my Manuals online folders that hangs IE¦Maxthon)…
- But you are right, the page zooming is great, using directly * + – without any additional modifier key.
I don't use the keyboard a lot, like you know, but in the case a single key is bearable and handy…

¤ Else, there are a lot of inconveniences because that browser sticks too close the 10-year old HTML norm,
and has lacunaæ, i.e. it doesn't support the wrapping in the tool-tips (info-texts from TITLE) that's pretty annoying for me…
