The new "open with" keys alt + 1, alt + 2, etc. only work in browser. Not viewer.

				Keyboards issue---

 Hello B. !
- This works randomly here in the browser (with Alpha pad-digits… a mess for me), but it's not a good idea because with the non-US keyboards, only the digits on the NUM-pad are really usable, and Windows refuses totally Alt+ NUM-digit.
- A bit aside : generally, short cuts with
Alt+letter¦digit might be
avoided, since they can interfere with the
menus ones in several other languages…
- In example : If I have a menu short cut for "
Alt+è", it's the same than "Alt+7" for you, and it's the mess.

 Kind regards,
Claude

Confirmed.

I'm not sure about it. Special character should not be used as mnemonics IMO. There could be problems with some characters...

 Hello !
- We have not this in the menus in French, but it could help… DOS¦Windows have been planned prior for an US keyboard and in the case, we can see annoying residues of that design which doesn't care totally of other languages…
- In addition of the digits on the alpha keys, using the
Alt modifier is more the issue than the ANSI upper characters themselves.
- Already in English, you cant' use "C" for the new "Create" menu, and obviously, "C" is not a special character; but there is a
Alt+C shortcut that "steals" the letter.
- So, I've
Édition and
Créer that are much less visible than with the initial cap letters as
Édition and
Créer…
- However, there is a lacuna in the programme, since in others I can use i.e. "
é" in the TC menu, where in French
Alt+é opens alright the
Sélection menu !

- With a French keyboard (and some others), to get a digit with an alpha-key, you must press <SHIFT> in addition; but for the commands which are the topic, that doesn't work anymore here : error sound from Win.
- And finally : for
hotkeys in the dialogues, there is no problem with the accented characters, this increases the number of usable letters; but digits can't be used, for the aforesaid reasons…
- Pierre might add hotkeys working in all dialogues … and fix this in the Options… About the hotkeys

(…I might add them at least in English and French…)

 Hello !
- Sorry, not closed for me, that doesn't work at all here with a French keyboard under Xp-Pro
- I have added two programmes to open *.ico as a test, in the browser nothing happens, Alt+1 or 2 = *peanuts*
- In View, same, error-sound from Win.
Neither Numpad digits nor alpha digits work (even + Shift, since the French keyboard needs this for alpha digits…)

You have set these shortcuts for a US keyboard ! So, the naming is false with a French keyboard.
It's Alt + &... é... "... '... (... -... è... _... ç... à but NOT the digits.
!!! A belgian keyboard is not the same as a french keyboard
1=&, 2=é, 3=", 4=', 5=(, 6=§, 7=è, 8=!, 9=ç, 0=à....
- With the Numpad digits, that doesn't work at all.

No, i've checked. The shortcut is set to Alt+1, ... in the resource file. So it's strange. But you are right, with numpad digits, it's doesn't works

				Set for US, anyway !

Pierre, with a French ¦ Belgian keyboard, there are NOT the digits "as is" on the alpha-pad !
• You must press SHIFT in addition to get the digits, and so, that doesn't work…
