Rearranging tools dialogs for more consistent look&feel

I think the following dialogs should consist of two tabs- one with file list and options to manage it and the other with options specific to a tool (+ tool specific tabs):
Slide Show, Web Page, Contact Sheet, Multi page file, Strip of images, CD,
File listing, Batch convert, Send by e-mail, Batch rename.

Also, I think Options>Browser>Misc options should be extended for all above dialogs- why we have only and just Slide show and Convert there?

These would make the tools more consistent in use.

Also, File listing should go from Create, because it is not related to image activity and it seems the only reason to place it in Create was that putting Create in front of File listing makes nice phrase...

Yes, i think that dialog will be clear like that. And perhaps open the dialog to the second tab?

Yes right

Where do you want 'File listing'?

OK.

I think it should go simply to Tools.

Yes right
But is it necessary to be able to set for convert AND slideshow AND Stripe AND ...., or only one setting? Or perhaps 2 Slideshow and other?

In my design of Options (http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=4665) I reserved whole options page for these settings, so that for every tool it should be possible to select default file list in case no images are selected. However, it can be also one setting for all options.

I do not use Create options much, but from a quick peek at them I can say the separate options would be most suitable.

I think implementation could be similar to Browser>Open action, so new options could easily be added.

I was afraid of that :(
I cannot find the thread with move request now. Maybe there are good reasons to place File listing in Create, but I don't know them.

My opinion is that Create should contain activities related to "creative" image creation/presentation.
So File list doesn't belong there because it generates simple text file.

With that in mind, I consider other options of Tools and Create placed correctly.
