Minor suggestion:

Use special symbol for [..] item in thumbnails view (maybe also in other views), e.g.:

At least…

:) Hello !

- I support ! I see the same we have in TC (bottom –> right). ;)
- Currently, the ".." mark in the default label (file name) is tiny, needs a magnifier, and looks quite ridiculous while you have a large "four-thumb-nail" folder icon…
- At least, Pierre please, could you use •• (#149] instead the keyboard-dots ? It does work with the System default font in 2K¦XP, and with a simple trick in Win9x¦ME…

I'd like to see the words "Parent Folder" on the folder itself rather than changing it.

And you translate ... ?

:) Hello !
I'd like to see the words "Parent Folder" on the folder itself rather than changing it.
- AFAIK, currently •• is hard-coded in the EXE; so, please explain me how you translate it in all supported languages… especially while you ought use icons with this text (one “normal” and one “4-thumb-nails”)… :P

I didn't plan to translate it, given that English is the dominate language it isn't a problem as far as I'm concerned.

Dominates *peanuts*

 What a «racist» statement ! :D

• Morever, the most spoken language on this awful planet is not English, but … Chinese(s), with regard to the number of speakers :P

- So, either a phrase like you wish IS translated, or the Dreamer's proposal is applied - maybe a bit difficult, though, whether the 4-thumb-nail icon is imported from Windows-.
- XnView is a multilingual programme, hence such an item must be understood by all users.

All file managers and many other programs use such a symbol, so I think it would be the best solution - clear enough for all.

Agree again---
