Hemera .hpi without mask

Hello,
I'm really sure that in former versions of XnView I was able to retrieve the alpha channel in .hpi (Hemera Photo Object) files as the second frame, because I wrote down my workflow to use this in photoshop to get correct transparency. I'm not sure with which version I last used this (but believe it had no tabs), but after updating to 1.82 there is no more way to get this alpha channels. Also the menu entries "Show Mask" and "Combine Alpha" are disabled (are they also new? I haven't seen them before).
I can't find any more detail on since what version this is broken, but in "WhatsNew.txt" this is listed for "XnView v1.45": "Added : Can view mask from Hemera Objects".
Is this a bug or by design for some reason?
Regards,
Thorsten

Alpha is often stored in .hpi as a second picture

Hello,
Alpha is often stored in .hpi as a second picture
that was what I was talking about. Strangely I wasn't able to open the second picture, the buttons greyed out, on two systems (1.80.3 on XP, 1.82.2 on 2000). Now it works again, on the same files, at least on the XP system. Will try the other one later today.
I cannot imagine what I have done to force this. So I cannot see a bug anymore. I'm curious. Sorry to interrupt you.
Regards,
Thorsten

Hello,
it is strange, I still have the problem with 1.82.2 on my home Win2000 system. The "next frame" icon is just inactive, greyed out, and I'm sure this .hpi files include the alpha channel as second picture, I test on the same pics which worked sooner today at work.
Is there any way I can test if this is some kind of problem? Proof it as reproduceable?

Thorsten

Hello,
here it is, including two screenshots. By now both systems are updated to the latest version 1.82.2. On XP it's okay, on 2000 I cannot reach second frame.

Go to 2nd frame works for me (with your sample). Win2k sp4.
