Opening Multiple Files with an External Editor via Context M

HI-

I could be mistaken because I have been using several different image viewers but I thought at one time it allowed "Opening Multiple Files with an External Editor via Context M"enu.

In particular, I am trying to open usually .jpg's and .psd's in photoshop by highlighting them in XnView v180.1, right clicking, and choosing open with.

What happens is "open with" option is grayed out, or I see an option to "add program" even though I have assigned photoshop already. If I go ahead and add it, then it still will act like it has not been added.

If I try to use F3 or F4, nothing happens (which I suppose makes sense if it believes there is no program associated with the file types.

if I just double click, then it is opened full screen within XnView. The same result if I right click and choose open.

On the other hand, I can open files one at a time via the context menu with no problems. The open in photoshop if I double click or use the context menu.

I read some posts on this subject but could not understand them. They don't seem to elaborate enough because the writers know what they are talking about, even if readers like me don't.

Anyway, did I set the options wrong, or is this how the program works?

Clo-

Thanks for the response. I think I am ok on the items displayed. Maybe I tried to say too much in my post. Before I try to solve the problem I need to know if there is one so...

Should I be able to select more than one file at a time and send them to Photoshop?
