Memory problem with thumbnails

I use Xn view 1.82.2 on Win XP SP2 with 512 MB RAM.

When Xn View is started it uses about 50 MB of RAM. Prblem is if I switch from one picture to thumbnails (about 90 of them in one folder for example). This behaviour is the same, no mather if I have caching of thumbnails set on or off.

Xn View memory consuption goes this way:

Started Xn View with one opened picture (maximized, not in fullscreen): 50MB
Switch to thumbnail view: 84MB
Double click on one of the pictures: 131MB
Again switch to thumbnail view (double clicking): 131MB
Double click on one of the pictures: 178MB
Again switch to thumbnail view (double clicking): 178MB
Double click on one of the pictures: 225MB
Again switch to thumbnail view (double clicking): 225MB
Double click on one of the pictures: 272MB

etc...

Every time when I switch from thumb view to maximized photo Xn View uses 47MB more memory.

Pictures in this example folder are 8 MPx photos...

Any idea how to fix this because my computer gets slow if I work in Xn View for a couple of hours?

Try Options>View [x]Only one view opened.
If you have tabs off (and the above option off), it is easy not to notice already open pictures in background. Open images are listed under Menu>Window.
