Hi

I still use sometimes XNView 1.21 to browse C:\recycler or other system folders (soft linked folders and similar). It is also much faster.

Is it possible to disable these new and very beautyfull features in the newest XNView?

Greetings

Bruno

Sorry, I was not able to answer earlier.
browse C:\recycler or other system folders (soft linked folders and similar)
Even if XnView was not designed for this it had the nice feature not to get confused by the desktop.ini. The never versions are not able any more to browse e.g. G:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1960408961-1708537768-725345543-1004\Dg2\Data\Def\ also broken softlinks (Folder with nothing else than a Target.lnk and a Desktop.ini:
[.ShellClassInfo]
CLSID2={0AFACED1-E828-11D1-9187-B532F1E9575D}
Flags=2
cannot be deleted with MS Explorer, they need system tools - or XNView 1.21...

Same to Folders which define their names in the Desktop.ini: Only XnView 1.21 can show me their thrue name.

Other new features which slow down XnView bu are very nice to have:
- Correct icons (from registry)
- Perhaps the Desktop-Folder
- ....

-> It is not necessary to add a possibility to disable all these features, but if it does not need much programming, especially "[x] Ignore Desktop.ini" could leave the "System Browser capabilities"
