Stand-alone batch convert with GUI

I would like to ask if it's possible to have the Batch Convert dialog box as a stand-alone GUI front-end for nconvert.
I need it mainly to port it with Total Commander.
Thank you in advance!

I'm sure it will become popular at least through Total Commander's community.

Why not use XnView's Batch conversion to define the conversion and then export it? (I haven't read the discussion in the TC board).

Because of integration and speed issues (that's on the human factor, I'm not
implying in any way that XnView is slow). Plus the conversion conditions are
not always the same in order to be using a previously exported batch file.
It will be nice anyway to have a front-end for nconvert without the need to
know the command prompt switches and the like.

What about a command line switch which starts Xnview and displays convert dialog (placing files/directories in list)? You want better image conversion for TC I guess, but does this need nconvert rather than using Xnview itself?

True, I need nconvert but the font-end is already there via XnView.
Your other suggestion looks promissing since I use XnView anyway. But that's just me!

For starters, yes plz!
If all nconvert switches are covered and we don't need extra options.
Three points:
1. The executable should accept as parameters a file or group of files so that
we could drag & drop the files via TC or Windows and get the list directly
inside the Batch Converter.
2. It would be great if the Batch Converter could fetch images from the clipboard
to automatically convert and compress/resize screenshots. Should be pretty easy
to add.
3. The ability to crop a portion of an image visually. Or even better add somewhere
a preview. This can be useful for many convertion features.
Thanks a lot for all you hard work in advance!
Kind regards,
Panos

I'd like such a stand-alone nconvert-GUI also very much! Just like pdavit (Hi there, pal!) mainly to integrate it with Total Commander for quick conversion. So if necessary efforts allow it, I'd really appreciate if this would be implemented.
