PaintStar is a versatile digital image processing software suitable for such tasks as retouching of photographs, composing and authoring images, image morphing, screen capture, and displaying image thumbnail in Windows Explorer context menu. It supports alpha, layer, path ,and the most common editing techniques. PaintStar has many of the tools and filters you would expect to find in commercial offerings, and some interesting extras as well.

Damn, this has the same type of interface as the gimp. :(
If you don't like the gimp, don't touch this. If you like the gimp, then go for it.

:) Hello !

• Yep ! For the aforesaid reasons, I didn't try that, thanks to add this warning ! The GUIs “Catch the pieces here and there” are a pain in the neck !
- I have a French GIMP like this, and I use it only with a gun on my head, when absolutely needed !
- I've also a version with a basic mother-window, but… in English only, not translatable !

- So, the good viewer-painting-simple-user•friendly-localizable soft remains to find out still ! Image

This is just another example of the "Macintosh" way being a boondoggle. All those floating non-dockable windows? Sheeesh.

No thanks!

I also don't like the GUI, but some people will do.
