Hi,

thank you for this wonderful program! I have tried it a few years ago but now it has really grown up and will replace Irfan for me. Congratulations to the author! :D

Question:
When I deskew a B&W PNG image and then save the changes, it is always saved as grayscale. :(

I would not like this conversion to be done without my permission. Is there a way to deskew and save as B&W.

Thank you,

Brahman

When rotating, aliasing is an issue unless the angle is a multiple of 90 degrees. To avoid aliasing, XnView uses anti-aliasing which works in grey scale mode, only.

You can always go image->convert to binary->no dither after you rotate & before you save, in order to return it to a b&w image.

Thank you Drahken. Your answer was very helpful.

Now I do not need to use Imagine any more and can take advantage of the beautiful free rotate and deskew functions of XNView.

Thanks for the help.
