When I view images forward and back (with pgUp/PgDn) xnview tries to play mp3 files it meets.
How to make xnview forgotten about mp3s? (just skip them)
Thanks

:) Hello Pierre !
Disable option/View/Play sound
• Yes, but in the case, ALL sound-files are skipped…
- zencd is talking about *.mp3 only… Supposing s¦he wants to hear some other types i.e. *.wav, this becomes impossible.
• I think that this current option “All or nothing” is not satisfactory, so I would remind you the principle of a better appropriate INI entry like I proposed (for other file-types) in this topic —> Paragraph : “Use an exclusion marker”.

• The current INI entry :
[View]
PlaySound= (flag : 1¦0)
could be changed like :
PlaySound = *.*| –> Play all file-types
PlaySound = | *.* –> Exclude all “Sound” file-types
PlaySound = *.*|*.mp3 *.ogg –> Play all files types, but exlude those specified forward the vertical bar ("pipe").

• What do you think ?

:) Hello !

• Most certainly, the Pierre's advice does the trick for you, but there is an issue, though.

- Personally, I've a few *.mp3¦*.ogg, but I browse often for *.wav sounds. Some are used in programmes, and mixed with other types in the root of the programme-dir.
- So, browsing that programme-folder, I am unable to play the *.wav (or *.mid etc.) with the current option turned <off>. I bet that others have a similar issue…
