What about 1337player?
It's a small video player for Windows that fully utilizes DirectX9.
Features:
- Small in size (only one EXE file)
- Fully (and only) DirectX9 support
- Subtitle support
- Simple zooming
- Fast searching
- standalone (no installer)
- etc.etc.
Latest version: Build 28.
