Restoring selection after undo

When I crop a picture with Ctrl+Y, I often want to undo the operation. Okay, after undo my pic goes back, but the selection is lost and I should select it again (although I gonna shift selection with just several pixels).

I'd prefer to have the selection resurrected too.

ok

I personally need this feature when cropping images only. This is an action I do very often.

I'd like to raise this issue, again. The multi-level undo is really need and useful. Though, selection should really become part of the undo process and should be restored when undoing an operation.

With restoration of the selection after undo, the workflow of image processing would be much smoother:

1. Select area
2. Apply action (e.g. Cut area, apply red eye correction, ...)
3. Undo action (because result is not as desired)
--> Action (e.g. Cutting) is undone, previously selected area is selected, again.
4. Adjust selection and/or apply different action

This sounds like a minor issue, but usability would be increase a lot.
