I would also like to edit the jpeg/exif comment inside your great software.
This would be really useful for me to describe all my holiday trip photos and to distinguish the visited places from each other.
Greetings

For all I know,
EXIF data is camera/image data written by the digital camera and more or less 'readonly'.
IPTC data is intended for the photographers to add extra info. IPTC is ideal for adding comments and categorizing images. XnView supports IPTC data, see "Edit->IPTC data" in browser mode or "Edit->Meta data" in view mode, respectively.

Hi Helmut,
thanks for your explanation.
Is this IPTC data included in the jpeg file or stored at a seperate place?
And IPTC data is really a standard way of putting a comment to a picture? Because I never heard of it before (I'm just starting taking photos) and would also like to be able to see these comments with a Windows picture viewer like "Irfanview".
Greetings
Michael

Yes, IPTC is a standard, and is stored in TIFF/JPEG file
Pierre.
