Discussing default settings

Based on 1.90 Alpha, it would be interesting to discuss the default settings in order to improve usage for first time users...

Here is my generated default ini, for reference: http://olivier.gallen.mageos.com/Temp/xnview.ini

Here are my suggested changes:
- General>Read/Write: favorite formats for saving: GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP
(are PCX and EMF really that common for SAVING???)
- Browser>File List>Cache>Compression = Lossy- High Quality(JPEG)
(reduce DB size a lot, faster (Hard-Drive speed limited) without noticeable loss in quality, and I'm quite picky... :P )
- View>Misc>Cache>Keep current image in cache = ON
- Default window size = 800X600 (instead of 640x480 with just 3 thumbnails and a smallish preview!)

Your turn...

1.
I really think that the toolbar-buttons should have "show button texts" activated. I still can't interpret what all icons mean, the additional texts are a perfect supplement.

2.
General->Keyboard/Mouse->Keyboard->Cursor Left/Right. This option should have "Previous/Next file" as default, does anyone really use the keyboard to scroll?

3.
Desktop should be visible in the browser folder-tree as default, no?

I agree.

1. I disagree, there is a tooltip, it's enough IMO.

2. There is no other way to scroll with keyboard, if numpad keys would be added (+ 5 to center), I'd agree.

3. Yes, maybe.
