Read image ahead: Why only forward an not backward

I am missing this functionality very often. The option "Keep current image in cache" do not solve the problem.
I support (and believe a single Option for all Buffer would be better).
In addition, this suggestion is still useful: Buffer Next+Previous... for last Window used to Navigate.
