Strange behaviour with 'Fit to Desktop/Large only'

When XnView is in "Fit to Desktop/Large only" mode, and then switched to fullscreen, after the first image is displayed and one navigates to the next image, the background no longer goes black.

Instead, you have the image overlayed on what would normally be your desktop, windows, wallpaper, and all.

Can anyone else duplicate this?

Steps to duplicate:

1. Switch XnView's viewing auto-image defaults to Fit To Desktop, Large Only.
2. View an image (select one from the browser.) Hit CTRL-F to go fullscreen.
3. Use mousewheel to scroll back forward and backword. Note the desktop has not gone to the background color.

I am using 1.70.4.

With the detailed description you gave, I could reproduce your problem (for navigating to the next/previous image you can also use "Page up" / "Page down".
"Fit image to desktop, large only" seems to be broken when using Fullscreen mode. :bugconfirmed:

I almost reposted the same problem when I read this previous post. Until you might have some time to fix it, is the solution to use a different display mode?

Thanks for the great program!

I'm the opposite, "Fit image to desktop, large only" works fine in Fullscreen however if I try to change it to "No fit" it doesn't change it, it keeps remembering "Fit image to desktop, large only" setting.

You mean 'manually' ? I guess, this is a known bug, reported before...
