Suggestions from a 3D animator

Hello all! Before anything, excuse me for my terrible english :)

I´m a 3d animator working for a big animation studio, Vetor Zero. Here we use Maya only and Acdsee or fcheck to see rendered frames.

With satisfaction I have discovered Xnview and I´m glad to say it is far more useful than Acdsee. But it lacks some "features" to become THE perfect animator tool.

Please, take a look at my sugestions, I think it will transform XnView in a must have program for all 3d artist :D :

- scrub frames with stylus/left mouse button - like fcheck
- buttons for RGB / ALPHA channel
- Ctrl+/ locks zoom. but doesn't lock pan. useful to scrub with zoom
- support hdri format
- gamma control for hdri
- show time difference in H/M/S/F per frame. example: frame 1 is rendered. frame 2 spend 2 minutes to render. this information is shown like difference between frame 1 and frame 2
- controls to play, stop, play reverse, play by 2, by 3, etc
- convert frames with directory. ex: directory TREE have 1000 TGA frames and directory SUN have more 1500 TGA frames. Select DIRECTOR
IES TREE + SUN and convert to TREE1 + SUN1 with JPG frames

well, again, sorry my stupid english. Please think about those sugestions

Thanks

Mauricio

@Mauricio: I'm not a 3D artists and not very familiar with videos. But thank you very much for your suggestions! Once Pierre is back from his holidays, I'm sure he will have a look at your list.

Comments and suggestions from other people using and creating 3D graphic are welcome.

Greetings,

Helmut
