Yeah very annoying bug.. if you open an image that is hidden or the folder its in is hidden. THen the images opens but the program crashes, but after acknowleding the error.. it still doesn't close properly.. you have to force shut it down.. It also won't let you scroll through images.

Could this get fixed please.

No problem here with 1.82.4 or 1.90a3 on XP(SP2) for hidden image with or without hidden folder...

Edit: both Windows and XnView with "Show Hidden Files", as ckit noticed

Not exactly…

:) Hello Pierre !

• Not any crash anyway. However, I could notice a different behaviour between 1.82.4 and 1.90 A3.

• A hidden dir,
• I copied six images into it.
• I set two images as hidden too.

¤ With 1.82.4 : All images are displayed in View, I can go Next >> << Previous, no problem.

¤ With 1.90 A3, only the four image without "Hidden" attribute are displayed, the others are not.

@ The browser :

¤ With 1.82.4 : The hidden folder is shown and I can browse it for thumbnails, all is OK.
The icon of that folder has no “hidden” mark, though.

¤ With 1.90 A3 : The hidden folder is not shown at all.

• Indeed, in Windows I've "Display hidden files and folders" ON.

EDIT : OK, the Hidden was not checked in 1.90 A I don't know why…

• Below, the test stuff and the tree without mark :

 Kind regards,
Claude

Same for me except I'm only using 1.90 alpha 3 now.
Make sure "Show Hidden Files" is enabled in Windows and XnView!
