Transition effects only in pre-defined slide shows?

Is it possible to have transition effects like fading only at predefined slide shows? It would be great to have this feature available in full screen mode when I'm just browsing through a directory...

Yes, quick slide show is only a slide with pictures, so transitions were not here..
