When ICC options are enabled, the Jasper plugin applies the sRGB ICC profile regardless of what is specified in the XnView Options --> General --> ICC settings. Further investigation revealed that XnView claims that the colour profile is sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (in the Properties tab next to Preview), however Photoshop CS claims there is no embedded colour profile.
The JP2k file was created by XnView.
The LuraWave JP2k plugin does not seem to exhibit the behaviour.
I have tried a clean reinstall of XnView, but continue to observe the same results.
Reproduction:
- 1. Open a colourful JP2k file which does not have an embedded colour profile, in XnView.
2. Optionally observe the colour profile entry located in the Properties tab (next to the Preview tab).
3. Inspect the image's colour. Toggling Use ICC Embedded Profile off and on and reloading (Ctrl+R) the image should yield a colour change.
4. With Use ICC Embedded Profile on, change the Default ICC profile to Other and select a profile which should yield a colour change. Example: "WideGamutRGB.icc".
5. Reload image. No change seems to occur.
