XnView already conveniently stores it's settings in a localised INI file. Great
What I like under another app, XYplorer, is the way it can Save/Load it's configuration via a menu choice under the File.

I would like this same choice under File for a future XnView MP. I'm lazy to go into any XnView folder (sometimes in a long folder path) and manually copy/backup. XYplorer when Loading a config from another INI, will read and copy the data from the other INI (not simply copy+replace the INI) and would show the user a message to show that the new data has been added before automatically restarting the application to use the new changes. This method is better in it's approach for various reasons and should be incorporated in a future XnView MP too.
Additionally it would be nice if there was a backup option for a 'schedule' that could occur as a brisk background process and a user could choose a folder destination for where the backup is stored. Add to that, support for archives ZIP/Rar too.
--------
So under the File menu in XnView it should look like:
File>Settings>
*Load settings... ---> would initiate a 'Open' window for a user locates "xnview.ini"
*Backup settings... ---> would initiate a 'Open' window for a user to save a copy of "xnview.ini"
*Backup Method and Schedules... ---> would link directly and open a choice in XnView MP's "Options>Integration>Backup" window for scheduling settings backups (time/day/week/month) and backup methods (plain INI or as archive zip/rar)
I propose a new tab under Options>Integration called Backup:
