XnView 1.90.2
WinXP Pro SP2
1. Go to options > thumbnails > cache.
2. Enable caching, set compression to none (may not be necessary, but that's what I use), set "use folder" to Custom.
3. Set folder to "D:\Data\XnView\Cache" (no quotes of course). Make sure folder exists (duh).
4. Allow XnView to cache some folders.
5. Exit XnView and reboot (again, may not be necessary to reboot, I don't see why it would be actually, but again, this is how it happens for me).
6. Run XnView and navigate to one of the folders supposedly cached. It should rebuild thumbs as if not cached.
7. Go to options > thumbnails > cache again. The "use folder" setting should have reverted to User.
This has happened to me twice. The first time was with version 1.90. I updated to 1.90.2 and it happened all over again.
