I just installed last version of XnView (on Windows XP2), i.e. 1.91.6 and now JPEG images modified using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5 cause XnView to exit program without any error message. Previous releases were able to open those.
I verified this fact as follows:
- created a new folder
- taken a JPEG image not yet processed by ArcSoft PhotoStudio
- ran XnView: OK
- modified the previous image with ArcSoft PhotoStudio
- ran XnView: immediate exit
Is there a patch for that?
Note that i fully unistalled 1.91.6 and reinstalled again to avoid spurious problems: it happens the same.
Thanks for help

How can i insert an image in my answer? I tried to click on "img*" but it simply puts that text w/o a possibility to merge a copied image or select from a list.
It's easier if you give me an email address where i can send you a message with the image attached.
In the meantime i want to tell you that the cause of the problem is probably that ARCsoft is an old package (the current release 5.5 which i use is of 2003 i guess) and probably it uses some technical jpeg command/detail no more managed by the current release of XnView. As i told, before installation of the last release i could see all the images processed by ARCsoft with XnView, and also now all other graphical software (like Irfanview or Picasa) are still able to show them.
Thanks
