cannot update install latest version1.95.3

it stops half way gives me , abort retry but ignore is not a recommended choice. this has happened at least six times.

concerned that if I delete my old version I may not get the new version or the old version back.

It seem odd that it does not simply overwrite it

Exit ALL file managers first!
Open XnView, go into Options, uncheck "XnView Shell Extension"
Exit XnView
Download "XnView Full ZIP Package"
Extract all files in "XnView Full ZIP" in your current XnView folder.
