H.264 .mov files viewing not consistent

All,
For some reasons, when viewing these mov video background loops, sometimes, I was able to view one file, no problem, then, the rest of the files I don't get a preview. Then, I have to go to another folder to view something else (e.g. avi or mpg), then come back to those videos, then, it will view again. Any idea?

BTW, I tried 1.96 RC1, the same is true. Also, I must correct myself, I think the sounds is there, just the video does not come up in either Full screen or preview panel. I also read some other posts with smiliar problems, perhaps not just h.264 but mpg in general.
